You'll have no problem traveling to see friends and family for Christmas. Getting home might be a different story. The Weather Channel is forecasting some sloppy conditions for the day after Christmas and the 27th. As of now, their forecast calls for 1-3" on Wednesday, 3-5" Wednesday night, and another 1-3" on Thursday. 5-11" inches in all. Is it too late to ask Santa for a snowblower?

The National Weather Service says it's too early to freak out and cancel plans but says you should monitor the weather over the next several days: "the potential exists for a storm next Wednesday and Thursday, but uncertainty is very high regarding the storm track and types of precipitation across our area. For now, we recommend you relax and enjoy your weekend, but also keep an occasional eye on later forecasts as details become more clear."
