Meet Charlie! He has got to be one of the cutest most gentlest dogs I've ever seen. I am a little biased because Charlie is my sisters dog now. Charlie became a family member only a few days ago.
Charlie is a rescue dog and my sister fostered him for a while until deciding she just could not give him up. My sister has been volunteering as a transport assistant with Small Dog Rescue of Minnesota.
Sara already has three dogs, so she was offering help by transporting and temporary care situations. Charlie was not in the plan with her already full home. Charlie's story has a happy ending, but this might not have been the case.
Small Dog Rescue is an organization that tries to match small dogs with loving adoptive homes, a non-profit, no kill rescue.
- They are having a fundraiser at the Apache Mall on December 10, 11, 12, 23 & 24th from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m, and December 20th from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. They will be wrapping presents at Barnes and Noble. They are bringing some dogs with them in the hopes they will find loving families.
- There is also a Howliday party at the Rochester Feed & Country Store north location on Saturday, December 7th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pictures with santa, 2 and 4 legged, a bake sale, a drawing for a doggie stocking, and a meet and greet with several foster dogs.
