Meet The DJs
Mornings with James Rabe
Born in Michigan, for 16 years James Rabe called Rochester, MN home. In fact, even when he didn’t live here he still did…whenever he’d be on his way to his annual kidney transplant checkup, he’d tell everyone, “I’m going home.” James started as a weekend announcer at KROC, then night guy (anyone remember the Lord of the Night?), and then mornings, first with Tracy McCray, and then, Cori Jensen. James then went to Fargo, to find his fortune… and to get laid off. Now, after five years waking up Idaho’s Magic Valley, James is coming home as the new morning show host on Y-105. In his spare time he cooks, reads, writes, and misses his lady friend back in Idaho.
Afternoon Drive with Brent Ackerman
I am the Operations Manager for all six Townsquare Media-Rochester stations. I’ve been in Rochester radio since 1984. In that time I’ve been an on-air talent, Production Director, Music Director, Program Director and now Operations Manager.
Radio is my passion. I enjoy working with on-air talent, designing and executing successful promotions with our sales staff and clients and making sure our stations are active in the community both on-the-air and on the streets.
As a Rochester native, it’s been great not only to grow up in one of America’s best cities but to also raise my family here as well. I’m a proud dad of three terrific kids…Andy, Kelsey and Logan. My wife Laurie and I are also very involved in our community. In my spare time, I enjoy golfing, bowling, grilling and following my favorite Minnesota sports teams (still waiting on that first Vikings’ Super Bowl trophy).
Nights with Delilah
Join Delilah every night for your love songs and dedications on Y105! (Every night at 7 pm except Saturday nights at 11 pm after Backtrax USA.)
Sunday Mornings with Jerry Miller
Jerry Miller, aka “JM in the AM” is a native of Zumbrota. After high school, joined the Navy and spent 4 years having a ball. Started radio career working at the College of William and Mary extension in Norfolk, Virginia. An opening happened at WNOR in Norfolk, was hired part time, and worked weekends. Four years later, finished the Navy requirements and returned home and enrolled in Brown Institute of Broadcasting and Electronics in Minneapolis under the G.I. bill. Graduated there and ended up as the morning man at KWEB Rochester. Later, went to KNXR Rochester and worked weekends and did fill-in announcing there. Then, when Y105 went on the air in February of 1993, started working Sunday mornings from 8 am to noon and I’m still here doing 8 am to noon, and enjoying it very much. So, after countless TV spots and voice-overs for radio spots, I’m still here working weekends. One of these days I’ll qualify to work regular shifts.
Join me some Sunday morning between 8 am and noon on Y105…..and thanks.
