The Minnesota Wild General Manager, Chuck Fletcher, will not be returning next season. His contract was up at the end of this season and Craig Leipold, the owner, has announced they will not be re-signing. In his statement, Leipold said, "I feel it is time for a new approach aimed at delivering a Stanley Cup to the deserving fans of the State of Hockey."

Leipold commended Fletcher for his great work over the past nine years, and he wishes "Chuck and his family the very best going forward.” So the question begs to be asked: "Was this the right decision?'

Did Leipold make the right call to fire Fletcher after the Wild have been eliminated in the first round in the last six out of eight trips to the postseason? Or do you think that Leipold was wrong to fire Fletcher? Let me know what you think!
