Reality TV is everywhere. It's hard to flip through the channels without running across any number of shows that purport to be based in reality. From programs about do-it-yourself home flippers, to various singing and talent contests, to shows claiming to capture the everyday lives of well-known people, the formats are endless. But which ones are the favorites of Minnesota TV watchers?

The website CableTV.com recently posted a story that it says reveals the most popular reality TV shows in each state. Their list was compiled by analyzing Google Trends to determine which shows generated the most interest in each state.

Here are the top three reality TV shows the report lists for Minnesota. You can decide for yourself if you think the report is right and what you think these shows say about those of us who live here in the 'Land of 10,000 Lakes.' What show, or shows, would you have expected to see on this list for Minnesota?

    Project Runway

    Originally aired in December 2004 on the Bravo channel, the show was later moved to the Lifetime channel. This contest-based TV program features up-and-coming wannabe fashion designers who compete to be selected as the top designer each season. Winners receive money to start their own fashion line.

    Hoarders

    This show debuted on A&E back in 2009 and ran through 2013. After a couple season hiatus, it's back on the air. Featuring people who have various disorders that keep them from being able to throw anything away, each show documents the journey of these people as they try to work through and overcome their hoarding obsessions.

    The Bachelor

    Yep, Minnesota's top reality TV obsession is the ABC series 'The Bachelor.' On the air since 2002, this show features one single man and roughly two dozen women who vie for his affections.
