The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota student that went missing early Monday morning has been found safe and unharmed. According to a posting on the school's Facebook page, senior philosophy major Luke Ringhand was located in the Chicago area on Wednesday morning.

At this point, no other information has been given regarding why he left campus or what he was doing in Chicago. The university thanked Winona-area law enforcement for their quick actions, as well as all those who had helped spread the word on his disappearance.

Ringhand's family also thanked area media for reporting the incident and expressed gratitude and relief that he has been located and is safe.
