MN Congressional Hotdish Contest

Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann says she hoped the judges would take pity on her because this is her last year in Congress.  But in the end, her effort - a hotdish called the "Polar Vortex-Mex - wasn't enough.

First District Congressman Tim Walz repeated yesterday as the winner of the Minnesota congressional delegation's annual hotdish contest.  His "Turkey Trot Tator Tot Hotdish" wowed the judges with a blend of Hormel bacon, fresh green beans and Jennie-O ground turkey.

Senator Al Franken started the hotdish contest four years ago.  He says it's an effort to blend bipartisanship and Minnesota traditions.
