Remember those big, bulky cameras with a flash that blinded you for hours! Remember waiting for the print to come out of the Poloroid camera!

We have come a long way, in the evolution of the camera! Today, most people capture all those cherished memories right on their phone!

According to National Day Calendar, National Camera Day is observed each year on June 29th. This day celebrates photographs, the camera and the invention of the camera. Before the camera came into existence, the only resource available to document a visual image was a painting.

According to the post, "The camera was made popular by a man named George Eastman, also called 'The Father of Photography.' While he did not invent the camera, he did invent many additions that improved the use, ease and production of a camera, making it widely available in homes around the world."

To celebrate National Camera Day, snap a picture of someone or something you enjoy, and post the photo on social media using #NationalCameraDay.

Go out and capture a memory!
