Tonight is National Night Out and tens of thousands of Rochester residents will be gathering for neighborhood picnics and other events organized as part of the annual anti-crime initiative. Last August, Rochester had nearly 42,000 people pre-register to participate in 165 events throughout the community, which won the city third-place in a national competition among cities taking part in National Night Out.

The list of gatherings of this year includes a picnic hosted by Rochester School District and Bamber Valley Elementary School.
