It's not going to be your typical fast food Mexican restaurant, and it's not going to be your typical sit-down Mexican restaurant...it's a whole new take, and it'll be opening this summer in Rochester! According to Jeff Kiger at the Rochester Post Bulletin, "Steve Dunn and Bruce Ringgenberg, have started work on a space....in the Soldiers Field Plaza shopping center to create a new taco place." It'll be called Taco Jed, which is just about the coolest restaurant name I've seen in a long time!

It'll be order-at-the-counter, BUT, they'll also have servers working the room! It won't be a huge menu, about a dozen street type tacos, and other Mexican food, but the tacos will be traditional AND unique. One of the things that'll be new to Rochester is Taco Insurance. You can try the taco, and if you don't like it, you can get another one. I think that's brilliant, because I love trying new things, but don't like paying for something unless I know I'll like it.

Where will it be in the Soldiers Field Plaza? At the end, where Payday America used to be (always glad to see one of those places move out).

This'll make the fifth order-and-eat place in the plaza. Hunan Chinese Restaurant, Pizza Hut/Wing Street, Brother's Bar and Grill, and Snappy Stop. Welcome to Rochester, Taco Jed!
