Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) -There will be a new feature at Rochester’s Foster-Arend Park this year.

The Rochester Park Board has approved a one-year lease with a company to operate a water park at the beach.

The Water Parks of Minnesota company will operate an aqua park that will offer inflatables, stand up paddle boards and kayaks.

The company will be required to have lifeguards present during its operating hours. Capacity will be limited to 75.

The Park Board was told the company will charge $15 for one hour, $20 for two hours, and possible all-day passes.

The board was told the same operation may be considered at Cascade Park when it opens.
