Washington, DC (KROC AM News) - A new study shows Olmsted County is among the 7 percent of all the counties in the country that have fully recovered from the Great Recession.

The study was released Tuesday by the National Association of Counties. It was based on data through the end of 2015.

It shows just 214 of the country’s 3,069 counties have returned to economic levels reached before the recession, based on four factors:  unemployment rate, overall employment, home values and economic output.

The study says based on those four outcomes, numbers show 93 percent of the counties still have not fully recovered from the recession. It shows nearly 16 percent of the country’s counties had not recovered on any of the indicators, including none in 27 states.

Ten of the counties that have made a full recovery are in Minnesota, including Olmsted:

  • Blue Earth
  • Carlton
  • Clay
  • Le Sueur
  • Marshall
  • Nicollet
  • Olmsted
  • Pennington
  • Polk
  • Rock
