A few weeks ago there was a video on our Facebook page about the people in the Olmsted County WIC (Women, Infants, Children) office won a Pizza Party. In the video, I was totally surprised to learn WIC has a breastfeeding counselor.

If you're not familiar with WIC,

Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a federal nutrition education program that provides supplemental foods, which promotes good health for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children up to age five.

If that sounds like stuff you need, just click here (or call 507 328-7555). You can be working and still qualify (just living a modest life with kids can be super expensive).

So, the breastfeeding counselor...how can they help? Maybe you're worried about breastfeeding vs formula. Maybe the baby isn't latching on. Whatever your issue, please, watch the video. Liz is the same awesome WIC employee that won the pizza. She is caring, understanding, and can help you find your way thru the process. But so is everyone at WIC. What you're dealing with is new to you, but the counselors have helped countless moms with most if not all the same issues.

You are not alone. You are not weird. You are not broken.
