Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Residents in a SE Rochester neighborhood had their evening interrupted Tuesday when a car crashed into two houses.

The incident happened around 8:00 PM in the 1000 block of Peregrine Dr. SE near Eastwood Park.

The Rochester Fire Dept. says the vehicle hit the corner of a garage on one house and the entryway of the other. The department says" the structural damage to the homes was deemed to be relatively minor and they were secured and protected from the weather."

The driver - identified as 29-year-old Abdisalan Adow - told police he was "backing out of a driveway, became dizzy, and continued backing up until his car crossed the road and crashed into the home."  He was checked out by paramedics at the scene.

The estimated damage to the houses and car was put at $30,000.
