Undated (KROC-AM News) - Minnesota business supply managers expressed a bit less optimism about the manufacturing sector of the state’s economy in the latest Mid-America Business Condition Survey.

The respective report with the state’s overall economic index at 51.6 in June. That was down from 54.3 in May. Readings above 50 are an indicator of future growth, while readings below 50 signal weakening economic condition.

The strongest component of Minnesota’s index for June was inventory at 60.6, while the employment component was only 47.5.

The readings for Minnesota last month were only slightly below the results of the survey from June of last year, when the state’s overall index was 53 and the employment component was only 49.
