Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) -  An Oronoco woman has been sentenced to almost 10 ½ years in prison for heroin trafficking.

34-year-old Shaunda Gadsden earlier pleaded guilty to a first-degree drug charge stemming from a major statewide crackdown on heroin sales that was conducted in 2014.

Rochester Police also arrested a Minneapolis man as part of the drug investigation. 31-year-old Martinez Williams also pleaded guilty, but was given a 90 day jail sentence. At the time of their arrests, both Gadsden and Williams were described as significant heroin dealers.

The statewide sweep resulted in the arrests of over 5 dozen people and was described as the biggest heroin-related trafficking enforcement operation in state history.
