Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Redwood Falls man has entered into a plea agreement in a Rochester area financial exploitation case.

A sentencing hearing was scheduled April 4th for 52-year-old Scott Beasley after he went before an Olmsted County judge on Thursday and entered an Alford plea to a charge of Financial Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult. The plea means Beasley does not admit guilt, but acknowledges there is sufficient evidence to convict him.

He was accused of taking $45,000 from an Olmsted County resident and using most of the money to buy a house. Court documents indicate Beasley was the trustee of the victim’s bank account.

The money was taken between July and December 2012.
