Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - Those involved in a Rochester robbery over the weekend have not been very cooperative with police investigators. Two men say they were robbed at gunpoint early Saturday after driving to an apartment complex to pick up an acquaintance. One of the victims was pistol-whipped over the head. The two robbers left with the victims’ phones and wallets.

The victims eventually became suspicious of the man they had picked up because he was not robbed. Thinking he had set them up, the victims drove the man to a party at a local motel. The man’s girlfriend later called police to report he was being held hostage.

Officers went to the hotel and were told what had happened but left without arresting anyone because none of those involved would cooperate. The officers did seize some illegal drugs they found in the motel room where the party was.
