Popeyes Chicken and the Choking Lawyer: A Conundrum

You may have heard the story last week about the Mississippi attorney who filed suit against Popeyes Chicken because he was not given a knife with his order when he went through the drive through late last year.  His suit was based on the claim that without a knife, he was forced to take a bite of the chicken breast and then choked because the bite of chicken he took was too big.

The plot thickened as the week went along when the lawyer decided to drop his suit because he had received so much backlash on social media.

I don't know where I come down on this one.  Seemingly frivolous lawsuits drive me nuts, but so does online shaming.  What do you say?
