Public Meeting Scheduled for New Rochester Hotel Project

Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) -The company that recently announced development plans for two projects in Rochester is planning to hold a public information meeting for one of them. EKN Development Group has scheduled the meeting next Thursday (Apr 12) at the downtown Holiday Inn. Although the California company has bought the hotel and is planning upgrades to the property, the meeting will deal with the other project.

EKN is planning to build a hotel at Virgil’s site near St. Marys Hospital. The proposal calls for a 5 five-story building that will include a branded hotel with 175 rooms and 6500 square feet of retail space. The company is also in the process of finalizing plans for a new hotel at the American Legion Club site.  

Next week’s meeting is scheduled to be held in the Venice Room, beginning at 6:00 PM.
