We had a wonderful time Saturday night at ABC and Toy Zone with the Real Santa. You'll love these pictures!

Something I love about The Real Santa is his natural, easy, and gentle way with kids. He'll get down on the floor with them, he'll tell 'em stories, he can paint a picture with words and open their imaginations...and with it all, he shows such love.

The Real Santa told me how much he loved each and every child he met Saturday night, and how much it meant to him to see and chat with them all. Most of the children I talked to after had the same feeling, tho it was mostly conveyed by smile in both their eyes and on their lips.

That's a real smile. As Danny, in Roald Dahl's "Danny the Champion of the World" says,

“I was glad my father was an eye-smiler. It meant he never gave me a fake smile because it's impossible to make your eyes twinkle if you aren't feeling twinkly yourself. A mouth-smile is different. You can fake a mouth-smile any time you want, simply by moving your lips. I've also learned that a real mouth-smile always has an eye-smile to go with it. So watch out, I say, when someone smiles at you but his eyes stay the same. It's sure to be a phony.”

Merry Christmas and thank you to ABC and Toy Zone for making the evening possible!
