Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - There are reports of another round of large layoffs today at the Rochester IBM plant and other IBM facilities throughout the United States.

IBM has made a habit of not releasing the information about job reductions, but there have been reports the high-tech company’s latest moves could impact a significant percentage of its workforce in the United States. The number of affected workers in Rochester is not known.

IBM recently announced it was reducing the amount of severance given to workers affected by the companies so-called “resource actions” from a maximum of six months of their salary to to one month pay.
