Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A well-known retired Rochester businessman passed away over the weekend after a lengthy illness.

Richard Hawkins, who died Saturday, was 75-years-old. Hawkins was the founder and owner of D&R Star, which he first opened in 1963 and grew into a regional vending and amusement business.

A visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., while the funeral for Hawkins is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home in Rochester.
