Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - All of the counties in southeastern Minnesota reported unemployment rates below 3-percent last month.

The jobless rate for Olmsted County dropped a tenth of a point from July to only 2.1-percent. It’s the lowest the rate has been since last November and is down seven-tenths of a point when compared to August of last year.

Houston County reported the lowest unemployment rate in the region at 2-percent last month, while the highest rate was found in Freeborn County at 2.7-percent. The largest percentage drop was found in both Wabasha and Goodhue counties, where the jobless rates were down three-tenths of a point from July.
