Rochester Area Man Kidnapped, Assaulted

Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - A search is on for a Rochester area man who is suspected of kidnapping and assaulting another man over a period of several hours

The victim was left at the Casey’s General Store near Pax Christi Church in northwest Rochester around 3:30 Tuesday morning. He was taken to St Marys Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The 28-year-old man, who is from the Eyota area, told investigators he was picked up around 5 p.m. Monday by two men and driven to a residence in the 7400 block of North Broadway. One of the men accused the victim of stealing a relative’s car. The victim was tied up with duct tape and then hit repeatedly with a padlock inside a sock.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s office Capt Scott Behrns says deputies went to the residence where the victim had been held and arrested one of the suspects. He has been
