Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester Planning and Zoning Commission has approved a proposed redevelopment project at the Miracle Mile Shopping Center.

The commission's action Wednesday evening came after two previous meetings where a vote was delayed.

The City Council may discuss and vote on the proposal at its Monday evening meeting. Staff is recommending approval of the project with several conditions.

The proposal calls for developing 3 ½ acres of the center to accommodate a grocery store, restaurant and other commercial space, along with a 5 story  multi-family housing project containing 107 units.  The developer had hoped to begin work this year.
