Rochester Experienced Second Warmest September on Record
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The National Weather Service says last month was the second warmest September on record in Rochester.
The average temperature was 66.2-degrees, which was 5.3-degrees above normal. The average high temperature recorded at the Rochester Airport in September was 76.3-degrees and the average low was 56.1 degrees. The warmest day was September 3rd when the mercury reached 88-degrees. The warmest September on record in Rochester occurred in 1908 when the average temperature was 69.9 degrees.
Statewide, it was the warmest September on record with an average temperature of just over 64-degrees, which was 1-degree warmer than Minnesota’s previous record warm September in 1897.
