Rochester firefighters rescued a person from a burning apartment building early Sunday morning.

The firefighters immediately brought the person safely to the ground using a ground ladder and made sure there were no other people inside the burning building.

The fire completely destroyed the apartment unit where the blaze started and there was heavy smoke damage throughout the second floor of the building, along with water damage on the first floor. Overall, the loss was thought to be at least $50,000 dollars.
