Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A dog attack in Rochester on Monday left an 11-year-old girl with a broken arm. Rochester Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the animal, which the girl described as medium to large with brown/gray coloring.

The incident occurred while the girl was walking home from school near the Gage East Apartments around 5 pm. She told police the dog latched onto her arm and shook her until she fell on the ground. That’s when the dog ran off and the girl continued to her home.

A police spokesman says she was then taken to St. Marys Hospital, where the emergency department staff discovered her arm was broken. Anyone with information about the dog and it’s possible whereabouts is asked to contact the Rochester Police Department.
