Look at that picture. Imagine relaxing in those chairs with a cool lemonade. Perfect, right? Well, you can make it happen IF you shop at Rochester's Secret Furniture Shop!

Patricia J Holtan, the Mental Health Practitioner at Phoenix Academy-ESC, got in touch with me this morning to let me in on the secret. Furniture, lots of it, is on sale tomorrow and it is all made by a furniture shop you've never heard of. Let me lay down some background for you.

Krista Crowley teaches at Phoenix Academy here in Rochester and says it's a...

"Therapeutic special education school serving approximately 82 students who have been unable to succeed in a community school setting due to intense emotional, behavioral, and academic needs. 100% of our students receive free lunch, making our school one of the highest poverty schools in the district."

The secret furniture shop? You might've guessed by now, it's the PA Wood Shop! Click HERE to see their great work (it'll open a PDF with pictures from the school).

How do students overcome adversity? One way is in the wood shop. Students work there every day and create some awesome furniture, Adirondack chairs, tables, and more!  And right now, they're on sale!

It's the Hand Crafted Furniture Sale

9 AM 'til 12 NOON tomorrow at 334 16th Street SW in Rochester!.

Find out more, buy some furniture, or just support the wood shop by clicking HERE!
