Rochester Home Invasion Suspect Arrested
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police officers were called to a reported home invasion Saturday and found two women and a man had been assaulted.
The victims say two men forced their way into the apartment located in the 1500 block of 4th Ave SE around 6 p.m. and demanded money from a safe. A police spokesman says the three were roughed up by the intruders after they were told there was no safe in the residence. The male victim was knocked to the floor and punched and kicked in the face. The intruders took the man’s phone and left.
The victims knew one of the intruders and he was later apprehended. 21-year-old Austin Swenson of Eyota is facing possible charges of aggravated robbery and burglary.
