Rochester Mayor Ardell Brede is being immortalized in plastic. The Rochester Honkers have announced plans to honor the city’s 44th Mayor with his own bobblehead this summer. Brede has served as Rochester’s Mayor since 2003 and is often in the stands at Mayo Field for Honkers games.

The Northwoods League team has designated June 14th as Mayor Ardell Brede Bobblehead Night and plans to distribute 500 of the limited edition promotional pieces to fans attending the Honkers game against the La Crosse Loggers that evening. The event coincides with the annual League of Minnesota Cities Conference, which is expected to draw hundreds of elected officials from communities throughout the state to Rochester.

The Honkers will open their 24th season in Rochester at Mayo Field on May 30th against the Mankato Moondogs.
