A website that specializes in crunching and analyzing data has published a list of the 50 coldest cities in the lower 48 states and Rochester made the top 10.

Niche.com used National Weather Service statistics for the past 30 years to determine the average low temperature between December and March for U.S. cities with at least 50,000 residents. Rochester was ranked 7th with an average low during the winter of 14.2-degrees. Minneapolis was ranked 8th, while Duluth was listed as the 3rd coldest with an average low of 8.1-degrees. Grand Forks, North Dakota was on top of the list with an average low of only 6.3-degrees.
