Rochester Is #2 Best Place To Live

Rochester has received many honors over the years as one of America’s most-livable cities and it just happened again.   Livability.com just put out its latest rankings of the “Top 100 Best Places to Live” and Rochester came in at #2, just behind Madison, Wisconsin.  More than 2,000 cities were ranked, so each city on their Top-100 represents the top 5-percent of livable communities in the United States.

In their commentary about Rochester, they highlighted the upcoming expansion with the “Destination Medical Center” initiative.  DMC could lead to 40,000 new jobs and almost double the population of Rochester over the next 20 years.   The article also highlighted Mayo Clinic’s role as the city’s economic powerhouse drawing over 2 million people from all over the world.
