Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was arrested over the weekend as the suspect in a reported sexual assault.

Police Capt. John Sherwin says a woman in her 20s was at a party at a residence at 1634 8 ½ St SE Saturday evening when she was raped. Sherwin says the two know each other and the woman gave the man’s name to officers. A patrol officer spotted the man in the downtown bar district a few hours later. Arrested was 36-year-old Marcus Shines.

He was booked on a charge of 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct.
