Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man who asked for police assistance Wednesday ended up in jail.

Police say 45 year old Laverne Aaker called around 4:30 p.m. for an officer to stand by while he retrieved some property from a residence he had been told to stay away from.

When it was learned Aaker was wanted on an apprehension order for a probation violation, an officer tried to take him into custody but he took off running. He was caught and had to be tased when it appeared he had something in his hand. It turned out to be some methamphetamine and a pipe.  

He is now facing drug and other charges.
