Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A man who was involved in two police chases in Rochester was apprehended after crashing his car a few miles east of the city.

The first chase began around 12:30 AM Wednesday near the Law Enforcement Center when an officer tried to stop 35-year-old Jeremy Wilburn for speeding.

He took off at a high rate of speed and the city officer broke off the chase. An Olmsted County deputy spotted the car a few minutes later headed east on County Road 9 or Collegeview Rd. Wilburn led the deputy on a chase that ended a few miles later when he crashed into a ditch. Wilburn took off on foot but deputies followed his tracks and arrested him a short while later.

It was learned Wilburn was wanted on a warrant for a fraud case.

He is now facing new charges.
