Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - One of the men charged in connection with a recent homicide in Rochester has been sentenced to 10 years on probation. 25-year-old Eric Lee was also given a 15 month stayed prison sentence that could be imposed if he violates the terms of his probation.

Within a couple weeks of his arrest, Lee went before an Olmsted County judge and entered a guilty plea to a charge of Aiding an Offender-Accomplice After the Fact in connection with the murder of 40-year-old Ahmed Muafaq Abdulhu Al Naddf, who was shot to death outside his family’s northwest Rochester apartment on March 12th. His plea agreement requires Lee to testify for the prosecution in criminal proceedings against the Rochester man accused of firing the fatal shot.

24-year-old Sao Yim is charged with second-degree murder and is scheduled to appear in court for an evidentiary hearing on May 18.

The criminal complaint states the Yim, Lee and two other men decided to confront the victim because they apparently suspected he was responsible for a minor collision involving Yim’s car. The other two men walked away after a verbal confrontation and moments later, the victim was shot in the chest.
