Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A rural  Rochester man was lucky he wasn’t killed after crashing his truck near his home Wednesday.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says the man was pulling a trailer with a skid loader on it when he crashed around 6:15 PM on the 4200 block of 29th St SE, just off Marion Rd.

The vehicle left the road and hit a driveway approach, causing the skid loader to lurch forward and land on the cab of the truck. The man was able to crawl out of the crushed cab and walk home. He was later taken to St. Marys Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It’s suspected the 55-year-old man had been drinking and he may face charges.
