Entertainment website Thrillist has shared a study of the least stressful cities in America and Rochester has made the list. Originally conducted by the personal finance website SmartAsset, the study looks at several factors that can lead to stress, including divorce and bankruptcy rates, commute times and average hourly work week to come up with their list.

The Med City came in at 18th on the list of least stressful cities. Average commute time and divorce rates were among the lowest in the nation, while our rank in several other areas of the study was also solid. As the city grows, that commute time will probably rise and Rochester may not be on the list much longer...

Turns out that the Midwest, in general, seems to be the most stress-free part of the country. Iowa City, Iowa; Duluth, Minnesota; Madison, Wisconsin; and Eau Claire, Wisconsin all made the top 5 in terms of least stress, with Fargo, North Dakota coming in at number 10 and Appleton, Wisconsin rounding out the top 25.
