Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - A Rochester Park Dept. employee was back at work Thursday, one day after being involved in a traffic wreck.

Rochester police say 35-year-old Jordan Kuzma was driving a tractor on West Circle Dr. around 6:00 AM Wednesday when he was struck from behind by a car. The impact knocked the tractor over and Kuzma was ejected. He landed on the road and suffered abrasions and a sore back. He was checked out at St. Marys and released.

Park Dept spokesman Mike Nigbur says the tractor had its flashing lights on at the time. He says the tractor - which is used to clear skating rinks in the winter and mowing in the summer - will likely be out of commission for awhile.

The driver of the car - 35-year-old Nicholas Poeschel - was ticketed.
