Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was arrested Friday night after being accused of injuring his young son.

Police were contacted by the mother of the 2-year-old boy and officers found the child had 8 to 10 inch long welts on his back, apparently caused by a belt.

The boy was at the woman’s residence with his father and grandmother when the assault occurred. The grandmother heard the boy being hit and called his mother. When the mother returned home and found the injuries, she confronted 38-year-old Hanot Rodriguez. He left but was later located and arrested.
