Rochester Police Forced to Tase Suicidal Woman
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester woman who was threatening to harm herself was taken to St Marys Hospital Wednesday night after threatening police officers with knives.
A spokesman says officers were called to the Extended Stay America hotel located at 2814 43rd St NW around 6:30 p.m. to check a report of a depressed woman who wanted to talk to police.
Officers went to the woman’s room and she told them she had swallowed a pen. She also threatened to jump out a window before she picked up some knives. A Taser was used to subdue the 37-year-old woman when she rushed at the officers with the knives. She was taken to St Marys for a psychological evaluation.
