Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester Police have released the names of the victims of a shooting Monday afternoon at the Parkside Mobile Home Park in southeast Rochester.

The man killed in the shooting was 22-year-old Trumane Gillmore of Rochester. 20-year-old Demonterious Jackson of Rochester suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to one of his legs and a graze wound on his chest, while 18-year-old Jerome Zachary of Chicago also suffered a graze wound to his upper body.

The shootings occurred around 2:15 p.m. while Gillmore and others were playing basketball in the street at the mobile home park along Marion Road southeast near Longfellow Elementary School. Police have said they are looking for a Hispanic male, around 6 foot tall with a thin build who was seen running away from the crime scene. The suspect, who was last reported running in the direction of the neighboring Oak Terrace Estates Mobile Home Park, was thought to be wearing a white t-shirt and jeans with a red bandana covering his face.

The shooting resulted in a lockdown that lasted about an hour at the nearby elementary school. Rochester School District officials say a modified dismissal procedure was also used at the end of the school day to ensure the safety of the students and staff at the school.

Rochester Police Captain John Sherwin says additional information could be released Tuesday morning.
