Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -There’s been another shooting in Rochester that took place in broad daylight and in front of several witnesses.

Police are holding two suspects and are looking for another “person of interest” in this shooting, which happened around 1 p.m. Sunday.

Police Capt John Sherwin says a 36-year-old man was driving on Broadway when he noticed he was being followed by a car with three males inside. Sherwin says the Rochester man told officers he had “ received a previous warning from a friend that some guys were looking for him and planned to kill him.” The man tried losing the other vehicle but it pulled alongside and two of the males opened fire. At least four rounds were fired and three hit the man’s car as he was near the North Broadway McDonald’s restaurant. Sherwin says investigators were able to identify the suspects and two of them were apprehended a few hours later.

Arrested were 26 year old Abdulkadir Abukar and 28-year-old Kaisar Nur.

Sherwin says the victim told investigators he was targeted because of his role in a crime back in 2009.
