Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man had a close call Thursday when he was shot at while driving on a northside street.

The 26-year-old man was driving on 41st St NW east of West Circle Dr around 6:30 p.m. when a car with three men pulled alongside and one asked if he was a “blood”, apparently referring to a street gang. At the time, the man was playing loud rap music and had his window  open.

The man says he flipped them off and kept driving. The man says as he was approaching the 31st Ave intersection, a shot was fired from the other car. The round hit near the handle of the victim’s driver’s side door. The man was not hurt and he drove home and called 911.

He says the car the men were in is a red older Nissan Sentra. He described the three men as black and in their late teens or early 20s. He says the driver was heavyset and wearing a yellow beanie.
