Rochester, MN (KROC AM news) - Rochester police investigators are trying to track down a suspect in a stabbing that was reported Monday night.

A 26-year-old Lake City man told officers he was stabbed in the upper leg while in a residence in the 10 block of 8th St NE, just off North Broadway around 7:30 p.m. The man went to St. Mary’s where he was treated and released.  

The man told investigators he doesn’t know the suspect’s identity but gave them a street name. Police suspect the incident may be drug related.

Earlier Monday, officers were sent to the Casey’s convenience store along 18th Ave NW to check a reported shooting. Several people called to report seeing people in two vehicles firing at each other.

Officers could find no shell casings or other evidence at the scene of the incident, which was reported around 2:30 p.m.
