Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester Salvation Army has announced it will no longer offer its residential pickup service for donations to its Thrift Stores.

The Salvation Army says the decision - effective immediately -  was made due to higher staff costs and rising truck maintenance and fuel expenses.

The Salvation Army says it will continue to accept donated items that are dropped off at both south and north sites one hour prior to closing.
