Rochester School District Ready for New Year
The Rochester School District teaching staff was welcomed back from its summer break yesterday by Superintendent Michael Munoz.
The 2014/2015 school year begins for the majority of the district’s students next Tuesday.
Some of the elementary schools will have a new look as space was added during the summer to accommodate all-day kindergarten, which is being offered for the first time on a district-wide basis.
Construction workers have been busy since June adding new classrooms at Folwell, Franklin, Gibbs, Lincoln, Pinewood and Washington to handle the expected surge in students.
The district also put together a welcoming video for teachers and other staff employees that is pretty entertaining.
