Rochester Public School Superintendent Michael Munoz was on KROC AM radio this Thursday morning with Rich Peterson and Kim David to talk about everything school-related.

In regards to funding from the State Capitol, Munoz said the district has already completed its budget for the next school year based on an expected 2 percent increase. As it stands now, the Legislature is throwing around amounts closer to a 1.25 or 1.5 percent increase.

If the number ends up at 1.5 percent, they would have to shave around a half-million dollars off of next year's budget. So, where would the "shaving" begin?

So, we'll see what the Legislators come up with. The superintendent is a monthly guest on KROC AM. His next scheduled appearance will be Thursday, May 4, at 8:40 a.m.
